We now offer ultrasound examinations!

Ultrasound offers a non-invasive, non-painful method for the diagnosis and staging of many diseases. These include, but are not limited to:
- Tumors of various organs, such as liver, kidneys, spleen etc…
- Evidence of metastatic disease (tumor spread)
- Presense of stones within the urinary bladder, kidneys or gallbladder
- Uterine infections (pyometra)
- Intestinal foreign bodies
- Enlarged lymph nodes
- Free fluid in the abdomen (ascites) or fluid surrounding the heart (pericardial effusion)
- Prostate disease
- Heart disease
An ultrasound examination can also be used to diagnose pregnancy and estimate whelping dates. Fetal heartbeats are commonly seen at day 28 post-conception to assess fetal viability.
